Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Oakley Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search entries on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message contains the information you choose to include and is used to respond or maintain the correspondence.
Technical Data from Visits
Hosting systems normally record an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps keep the reference available and shows which Oakley record pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement. The operators do not use these logs to create a personal resident file.
How Limited Data Is Used
Technical data is used to operate the service, find faults, measure broad traffic, and improve the pages. Contact information is used to answer a message. Visitor lists are not sold, and the operators do not build individual profiles from the search pages.
Links to Records Portals
Oakley Residents Directory links to Contra Costa portals, California offices, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. The policies of those services govern what happens after a link is opened or a form is submitted there. Sponsored results are supplied by a separate company, which controls its own data practices and terms.
Who May Process Technical Data
Hosting and support providers may process server logs while keeping the reference online. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical information described above when those tools are enabled. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. No other disclosure is intended.
Security and Retention
The service is intended to run over an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational, security, measurement, or legal purpose that calls for them. There are no Oakley Residents Directory accounts, passwords, or user profiles stored for ordinary visitors.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor is believed to have sent information through a contact channel, use the Contact page so the operators can review and delete it when appropriate.
California Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, appears at Civil Code section 1798.100 and following. Depending on coverage and circumstance, a person may have rights to know, correct, delete, limit certain sensitive-information uses, or opt out of sale or sharing. California’s DROP request service sends one encrypted deletion request to registered data brokers, but it does not erase public government source records. Because Oakley Residents Directory keeps little direct personal data, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available server records.
Use the Contact page for a privacy request. Public records held by Oakley, Contra Costa County, or California offices are not controlled by this reference. Requests about those records should go to the custodian under the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, or another law that applies to the particular record.
Changes to This Policy
A revised version will be posted here when the privacy practices or legal wording changes. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy to the extent the law permits.
